Initial "D" Assessment

An Energy Expert will perform various test which check for air leaks, heat loss, and energy waste. As the Energy Expert tests and documents the home, he/she will give a complete explanation about the tests, what they are looking for, and how the tests are performed. VerdaTech Energy Management & Consulting believes that it is as important to perform the tests as it is to inform the home owner. Once the information is collected, a full report will be written which outlines improvements that can be made to the house as well as an estimate of the increase in efficiency each improvement will make on the home. The report will also indicate how your home ranks in comparison to neighbouring homes in your area. The Energy Expert will walk you through this report and answer any questions you may have about the report.

Follow up "E" Assessment

After you have performed the renovations that you have chosen, the Energy Expert will return to your home to reevaluate the home's efficiency. After performing the tests, the Energy Expert will indicate whether you qualify for the ecoENERGY program and answer any final questions you may have. If you are eligible, VerdaTech Energy Experts will apply for the grant on your behalf.
